Refer a Friend
Referral steps for Boone customers.
How it works
After checkout, each customer gets a referral link. Send the link to a friend. The friend places a first order. That order ships in August 2027. Both accounts get a credit for the next season.
Step by step
Place an order first. The referral link comes after checkout. A customer without an order has no link to send.
Send the link to one friend or to several. The link ties the friend's first order to your account. The friend orders on the shop page like any other buyer.
The friend picks fillets, portions, or smoked sockeye. The friend picks door delivery or Spokane pickup at checkout. That order joins the August 2027 shipment.
Credit lands after the friend's first order. Your account gets a credit. The friend's account gets a credit. Both credits wait for the next season.
What the friend gets
The friend gets wild Bristol Bay sockeye. Joseph Montecuco fishes the catch out of Igiak, Alaska. The catch is flash frozen soon after harvest.
The friend also gets a credit for the next season. The credit sits on the friend's account after the first order. It applies when orders open for the following catch.
A good first box for a friend is the 5 lb starter portions box. It costs $125. Portions cook one at a time. A new sockeye household learns the fish fast on single servings.
The 2 lb smoked gift box is the other easy send. It costs $85. Smoked sockeye is ready to eat. The friend thaws it in the fridge and serves it cold.
Dates that apply to referrals
Ordering closes at the end of June 2027. A friend who orders by that date ships in August 2027. A friend who waits misses the 2027 catch.
Door delivery is $29 per order for the friend, same as any buyer. Spokane pickup is free for the friend, same as any buyer. The referral changes the credit. The referral changes nothing about shipping.
Questions about referrals
Can I send the link before I order?
The link comes after your own checkout. Order first. Send the link after that.
Does the friend have to buy a certain box?
Any first order counts. Fillets count. Portions count. Smoked sockeye counts. The friend picks the box that fits the household.
When do the credits land?
Credits land after the friend's first order is placed. Both accounts hold the credit for the next season. The next season opens after the August 2027 boxes ship.
A plain example
You order a 10 lb box of fillets this winter. Checkout gives you an order number and a referral link. You send the link to your brother in March 2027.
Your brother orders starter portions in April 2027. His box joins the August 2027 shipment. His account gets a credit for the next season. Your account gets a credit for the next season. Both households eat Bristol Bay sockeye that fall.
The example uses family. The link works the same for a neighbor, a coworker, or a friend across the country. Distance changes the delivery choice. Distance changes nothing about the credit.
